Known nationwide as a victims’ rights advocate after her brother’s murder in the infamous O. J. Simpson murder trial, Kim Goldman is the Executive Director of the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Project; a non-profit organization that provides peer mentoring, crisis intervention, support groups and education and outreach to teenagers in the Santa Clarita Valley.  Kim has been working in the non-profit sector for the better part of a decade.  Her passion and commitment for assisting the underserved has allowed her to work in many different areas.  Kim has either held positions or participated with various nonprofits and nonprofit events including AVON 3Day Walks, AIDS Ride, Cure Autism Now’s Walk Now and Best Buddies California.   

As a victims’ advocate, Kim has traveled the country as an impassioned public speaker on victims’ rights, the role of the media, judicial reform, and other related topics.  Some speaking highlights include: Keynote Speaker for National Victims’ Rights Week, Parents of Murdered Children Victims Conference, Trainer for Department of Justice, Speaker at Governor Wilson’s Conference for Women, and a guest speaker/panelist at a number of universities. 

As an accomplished writer, Kim was a contributing author to the NY Times Bestseller; His Name is Ron, Our Search for Justice (1998, William Morrow & Co.)  In 2007, Kim authored two chapters for the NY Times Bestseller; If I Did It, Confessions of the Killer. (2007, Beaufort Books).  She currently has a publishing deal with Titletown Publishing to release her memoir October 2012.  In November 2011, Kim launched Broadscast, an online “talk show” with partner Jackie MacDougall. 

She is the founding Co-Chair of The Ron Goldman Foundation for Justice as well as a member of the California District Attorney’s Association, Victims’ Rights Committee, Advisory Board Member for Crime Survivors, Inc and a member of the Vision 21 Committee for the National Center for Victims of Crime. 

Kim contributes to a variety of media outlets, and has been a guest on news programs such as Oprah, 20/20, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, Dateline, Primetime Live, Dr. Phil and Larry King, among many others.  Recognized for her commitment to her community, youth and the underserved, Kim was the recipient of the Soroptomist International of Santa Clarita Valley “Making a Difference for Women” award in 2008, and “40 under 40, Best of the Best Professionals” of Santa Clarita in 2009.
